Miniature Show and Fundraiser

September - November 19th

The Annual Miniature Show and Fundraiser has new importance as we are being adversely affected by both the high price of gasoline and the road construction on Highway 441. However, even though these problems still exist, we have postponed the Fundraiser. The tragedy in our sister states is so great the our problems are minimal compared to theirs.

Even though we are postponing the Miniature Fundraiser, we want to thank all of the 32 artists who have contributed artwork to date. The tentative new date for the Miniature Fundraiser will be in conjunction with our Membership Show Reception November 19th.

Many of us have family and friends who have been affected by this tragedy named "Katrina" and there are many personal storied we will hear over the coming months. Jo Rusin, who will speak at our January Luncheon, said her hundred-year-old home was completely destroyed. Her comment was. "Five years from now I will look back any say, if it weren't for Katrina I would not be doing what I am today!"

What a wonderful attitude and one we are going to adopt at GHCA!
