Director's Message

Thank you to all of the wonderful artists who contributed their time and talents to donate aminiature masterpiece for our annual fundraiser in November. We raised over $1200. Your contributions and the participation of our members made it a successful event.

Starting in January GHCA will be gathering the information to publish our third book. This time the premise is a "Cookbook"; a creatively artistic cookbook that combines your favorite recipe along with photographs, black and white reproductions of your paintings, pen and ink drawings, poetry, prose, or a paragraph about the person who gave you the recipe.

This past fall, while in Houston, Texas, I purchased a cookbook that inspired the idea. I have it at the Center if you would like to come by and see it. Everyone who has seen it is excited about participating in the adventure. Basically, you purchase a page in the book for $25.00 and then you decide what you want on that page. Although, GHCA does have the final say in what you can include. Two people can do a page together as long as they can continue to remain friends afterwards. The price of the book and number of books published will depend upon the number of participants. With the purchase of a page you will be able to purchase one book at cost.

This can be a really fun experience so I hope you will join us.
