Little did I know that clay would become the one steadfast thing in my life when I made a small pinch pot at 9 years old. A required course at Florida State University in 1959 put me back in touch with the clay and I have not been far away from the clay world since! Found objects, shells from the beach and needle work from the attic are inspiritions for my work that often appears to be ancient relics of the past.
I have taken workshops and studied with other potters during the years from Charles Counts to Kathy Triplett. I am a Charter Member of the Potters Council of the American Ceramic Society, Co-Founder of the Georgia Clay Council and have served on the Boards of several art organizations in Florida and Georgia.
