Rennie Davant

Rennie Davant, a native Atlantan, began painting seriously in her thirties. From oils and acrylics (she studied under various teachers in the Atlanta area, especially the Chatov brothers) she turned to watercolor soon after she moved to Rabun Gap, at which time she began studying with a number of nationally known artists at Springmaid Beach Resorts in Myrtle Beach. She is a member of the Georgia Heritage Center for the Arts, North Georgia Artists Guild, Macon County Artists Association, Bascom-Louise Gallery, and the Art League of Highlands. She was cover artist for Rabun Laurel's September 2004 issue. She presently exhibits at Macon County Uptown Gallery in Franklin, Lee Johnson Gallery in Clayton, and Seven Oaks Gallery in Lakemont, and participates in special shows at Georgia Heritage Center for the Arts, Art League of Highlands, and Bascom-Louise.
