Nestled in the foothills of the Appalachians in the Historic Nacoochee Village, The Willows Pottery is a working studio featuring decorative, functional stoneware pottery. We offer a variety of pottery including mugs, serving pieces, accessories, custom dinnerware sets and handmade vessel sinks. Most days you will catch a glimpse of potter Emily DeFoor working at her wheel. Customers are encouraged to observe and ask questions about the pottery making process.

Emily is orginally from Gainesville, GA. She discovered her love for pottery when she landed in a pottery class at North Georgia College taught by the late Bob Owens. After one class she fell in love with working in clay. Emily took several more pottery classes at North Georgia College as well as classes at The Quinlan Arts Center and The Penland School of Crafts. In the Spring of 2003, Emily opened The Willows Pottery for Habersham Winery. She lives in Sautee-Nacoochee with her husband Nathan and their two Australian Shepherds, Roxie and Julie, who you sometimes have the pleasure of meeting while visiting the shop.
