I grew up in rural Northeast Georgia in a family of eight children. We made our own fun; my choice was doing creative art projects. I consider myself a self-taught artist although I have had some lessons along the way. I live in Habersham County with my husband Lamar. We have three sons, seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
History is important to me and my folk art paintings are based on memories from my childhood. I have painted many historic buildings. This is my way of preserving the past.
I work in oils, acrylics, and watercolor. My work has been displayed in shows and galleries all over Georgia. Most of my recent works have been commissions. I have prints of many of my paintings.
