WORK EXPERIENCE:
Jim has over twenty years of Government and Private Industry experience in contracting with and in support of the Federal Government.
As a Contracting Officer, he purchased electronic hardware in support of soldiers worldwide. He supported the military as a contracting officer for the Department of Defense and as a private contractor in support of the Army, Navy and Air Force.
Jim is a retired Army officer (LTC) having served twenty- six years in both active and reserve status. He served as an infantry Platoon Leader in Viet Nam and was awarded two Bronze Stars, Air Medal and Combat Infantry Badge for actions against the enemy.
ART EXPERIENCE:
Jim has been painting, off and on, since high school. He does both abstracts and still life works. Many are based on places he has visited. His medium is oil as he feels it gives him more flexibility in developing desired results.
His works are owned by patrons in Georgia, Maryland, Pennsylvania, Virginia, New Jersey, and are currently for sale in local art galleries. Jim is the owner of Jim’s Art of Sautee Nacoochee, LLC.
Jim’s works have been among those in shows in Lancaster, PA, Fort Monmouth, NJ, Shrewsbury, NJ, Helen and Cleveland, GA and in shops in Sautee Nacoochee and Dahlonega, GA. Jim will be showing in through May at the United Community Bank Branch in Cleveland, GA with the Yonah Art Guild.
