Art has always been an intrinsic part of my life, and as important as breathing. I cannot recall a time when I wasn't drawing or painting.
I paint primarily with pastels, which I found to be the perfect medium for my animal and children's portraits, as well as the land and seascapes I love.
Although a participant and award winner in many juried shows, I find this unimportant to me. Much more pleasing is the joy on the face of someone looking at my work and seeing something that speaks to their heart.
Whether it's a portrait of a child or an animal, or a painting of an old barn, there's always a bit of me in there, loving the subject and loving what I'm privileged to do.
