Toccoa, GA

I have always loved to draw and I got my first taste of watercolor when my husband bought me a watercolor set and signed me up for classes at Diane Mize’s Studio. I was hooked. Through the years I’ve taken numerous workshops from accomplished watercolor artists and I’ve learned a lot of techniques.

My favorite subject to paint is nature, whether it’s birds, flowers, and animals or places that I’ve visited. I love to depict them using rich colors and lots of different techniques. I love to experiment, so I
sometimes paint on yupo paper, add mixed media to my work or play with pastels. Painting is always an exciting, fun experience.

I am currently the president of the Currahee Artists’ Guild, a member of the Georgia Heritage Center for the Arts, Sautee Nacoochee Art Center, Quinlan Center for the Arts and The Blue Ridge Arts Council.I currently have art at The Georgia Heritage in Tallulah, the Sautee Nacoochee Art Center and The Studio, Cornerstone Restaurant, and The Café Java in Toccoa.
