Is it real – or is it clay? My work fools the eye as I allow the viewer to perceive my art through a different perspective. Clay is recreated to form shapes of fabric that capture the essence of heirloom quilts. Some quilt shapes are stacked, some hang on racks or chairs and some are rolled out showing the beauty of a pieced quilt.
Love of clay begun as a child playing in a mud pile. That love grew and developed through college and beyond as I now share that passion by teaching.
