I began my art career while in the Air Force. Working in Airframe/Propulsion maintenance on the SR-71 Blackbird in 1966, I was offered a Squadron Artists position, which I accepted, that led to a lifetime as a working artist.

As a graphic artist I had to acquire the ability to create art in a wide variety of mediums including photography, air brush, and computer graphics, as well as having a solid grounding in the traditional mediums of oils, acrylics, water color and pencil. Over three decades as a working artist has provided the needed skill set.

Having lived and worked for many years in Michigan, Florida, Hawaii and California, on deciding to retire, I chose North Georgia. No longer working in the client driven commercial art world gives me the opportunity to work at my own pace, on the subject matter and in the medium of my own choosing.

In the traditional arts, I now work primarily in oils and pencil/graphite. In the computer graphics arena, I continue to work in digital painting, web design, and the reproduction of my art. I also continue to do wide format poster size fine art prints and Giclee prints on canvas of my own art.
