Antonia Reed is a working artist who has lived in the N.GA mountains for over twenty years. Her medium is clay, but she is not a traditional potter. Her work is all handbuilt- jewelry, utilitarian and art objects, and ornaments. The most interesting feature of her work is the use of brilliant underglazes, lustres and metallics. Common themes in the pieces are detailed paintings related to nature, gardening and antique synbols. Antonia is from Atlanta originally. She has an art degree from Tulane Univ. and later attended the Exeter College of Art in England and N.GA College. Her work has been shown in galleries in N.GA, Atlanta, NYC, and CA. She has been a member of the Foothills Guild of Art and Crafts for many years.
